About Blue Wind Productions
Blue Wind Productions was established by Terry Williams and John Harvey in late 2007 in order to develop innovative musical works for integration with the narration of tales and stories.
Using state-of-the-art digital music production and recording techniques, Blue Wind Productions develops musical works with a wide spectrum of sounds and musical genres, including classical, jazz, modern, electronic, and others.
Our initial offering, the first in our series of "Tales in Music," is the famous eastern traditional story, The Tale of the Sands, by the noted Afghan writer, Idries Shah.
In addition, we have completed a reading with musical accompaniment of the immortal poem, "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe.
Our plan for subsequent works includes other tales, stories, and poems known for their beauty and lively entertainment value.
History
Blue Wind Productions originated out of an idea in 2006 to develop new music websites. The first project was Pro Audio Music (www.proaudiomusic.org), a website centered around the use of computers, software, and professional audio gear in music production. The site provides resources and information on pro audio gear and is a showcase for music and biographical material from a number of talented musicians from across the globe.
In 2007, a new website was launched, Classical Matters (www.classicalmatters.com), which was based on the same pattern as Pro Audio Music, but was designed to showcase music and biographical material of classical musicians and composers.
In 2008, we launched a new site, Groove Pie Records (www.groovepie.com), an indie label and contract music service company, in order to produce albums, music for TV and film, and custom loops.

A native of Los Angeles, Terry Williams pursued music and science in his youth. He chose to go into science as a career and graduated with a B.A. in biology and a Ph.D in molecular biology/biochemisry from the University of California. His professional life includes academic, biotechnology, and clinical research in cancer therapy. Along the way, he continued his musical development, learning a number of different instruments as well as audio engineering and recording techniques. He currently resides in Southern California and works in the field of clinical research. His current musical interests center around the use of computers and digital technology in music production
